I’m Forest Vance—former pro football player, personal trainer, and coach based here in Lee's Summit, MO.
In my playing days, I learned the hard way that you can’t just train hard—you have to train smart. But most people today are still walking into the gym, lifting random weights, doing cardio that bores them, and wondering why they aren’t seeing results.
That’s why I created the FVT Iron & Asphalt Challenge.

We’re combining the best of both worlds:
Over 12 weeks, you’ll follow a simple and effective plan designed to help you peak on event day—whether you’re joining us in-person or training remotely on your own.
Choose Your Challenge Experience
Training starts June 23rd and leads up to the Iron & Asphalt Challenge on Saturday, September 13th at our Lee’s Summit studio (208 SE 2nd Street). All options include a full 12-week lifting and running plan, entry to the in-house challenge, and community support to keep you on track.
Option 1 – Current Members – $35 Extended Early Bird (Save $15 – Now through Friday, June 6th)
Option 2 – Remote Option (Non-Members) – $135 Extended Early Bird (Save $30 – Now through Friday, June 6th)
Includes everything in Option 1, PLUS:
Option 3 – In-Person or Remote Coaching – $635 Extended Early Bird (Save $65 – Now through Friday, June 6th)
Includes everything in Option 2, PLUS choose one of two paths:
In-person: Two small group personal training sessions per week at FVT Warrior Wellness, plus weekly access to our Saturday 8am large group challenge prep workouts
OR
Remote private coaching: Fully customized program with 1-on-1 virtual coaching and check-ins

QUESTION: Do I have to do all three events (bench, deadlift, 5K)?
ANSWER: Nope! You can do just one, two, or all three—or even team up with a partner and split it.
QUESTION: When does the training start?
ANSWER: The official 12-week program kicks off June 23rd and leads up to event day on Saturday, September 13th, 2025.
QUESTION: What if I’m not super experienced with lifting or running?
ANSWER: No problem. The program is designed to meet you where you're at. You’ll get step-by-step guidance, and if you do the in-person option, we’ll coach you the entire way.
QUESTION: What if I can’t make it in person?
ANSWER: We’ve got a remote training option for that. You’ll still get the full plan and the structure you need—plus a way to participate virtually if you're not local.
